We've just emerged victorious from an all-day Bingo extravaganza, where everyone had the freedom to come and go as they pleased, and walked away with an array of fantastic prizes that left us all feeling inspired and motivated.

Beginning the June 22, motorists should expect significant traffic changes along I-70 between Blue Springs and Grain Valley as part of the Improve I-70 project.

According to MoDOT, key impacts include:
• Both directions of I-70 will be reduced to one lane between MO Route 7 and Lefholz Road beginning at 7 p.m. on June 22.
• Eastbound I-70 traffic will be shifted into the median beginning June 23.
• The eastbound I-70 off-ramp at Adams Dairy Parkway will be closed through approximately July 24.
• The eastbound I-70 on-ramp at MO Route 7 will be closed through approximately July 24.

Drivers are encouraged to use U.S. 40 as an alternate route. Motorists should plan for delays, allow extra travel time, and use caution in work zones.

The VFW organized a motorcycle show for the residents last Saturday. We sat outside and listened for them. They were extremely enthusiastic to hear them approaching and then to see them. I am unable to convey the extent of their excitement.More residents came out but so much was going on I didn’t get pictures. I’m just saying the pictures don’t do justice on how excited the residents were.
