As we approach one year since my mom passed away, I wanted to give back to our community in her memory.

One thing my mom always made sure of was that my daughter had everything she needed for school. I also remember her blessing another local families by making sure their children had everything they needed for back-to-school. Helping others was just who she was.

In honor of her memory, A Pleasant Living will be selecting 5 local children to receive a brand-new backpack for the upcoming school year.

A couple of weeks ago, we said goodbye to two very special clients after nearly 15 years with A Pleasant Living. ♥️

People often think caregiving is just a job, but when you’ve cared for someone for that long, they become so much more than clients…they become family to our caregivers. Over the years, we shared countless conversations, laughs, milestones, and memories that we’ll always cherish.

Although it’s never easy to say goodbye, this wasn’t a goodbye filled with sadness. It was one filled with gratitude. We are so thankful we had the privilege of caring for them for so many years, and we’re happy to know they’re beginning this new chapter surrounded by the love of their family.

Please keep them and their loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they continue this new journey. We wish them nothing but happiness, comfort, good health, and many beautiful moments together.

During this cold weather, she went above and beyond today (as always) making a warm, home-cooked meal for our client and staying with them through the entire weekend to make sure they are safe, comfortable, and cared for.

This is the kind of compassion and dedication that truly makes a difference. Thank you, Lupe, for treating our clients like family and for always showing up with such a big heart. We appreciate you more than words can say.
