🚨Have you heard?? OFD is now offering sleep apnea screenings and home testing!

💤30 million Americans are affected by sleep apnea, yet almost 80% continue to go undiagnosed.
💤Sleep apnea contributes to early heart disease, creased stroke risk, pulmonary disease and so much more.
💤 While loud snoring is a common symptom, you can have sleep apnea without snoring at all. Other warning signs include morning headaches, daytime fatigue, and waking up gasping for air.
💤 Fragmented sleep/night terrors/restless sleep in children isn’t always normal, it could be a sign of pediatric sleep disordered breathing

How does this relate to dentistry? Great question. Your mouth can show early signs of this silent disease and seeing a dentist trained to screen for sleep apnea is a great way to catch them. Dentists are the only providers to routinely evaluate teeth, tongue, gums and our mouth can tell us so much about our bodies!
