Why I Love My Job

I’ve come to realize how deeply connected the act of listening and caring is, no matter the setting. In a single session, I have the privilege of meeting someone’s heart, hearing their fears, and telling them, “I’m so grateful you’re here.” I get to see them for who they truly are—and appreciate them for it.

After each conversation, I walk away not just understanding others, but learning something about myself. As Carl Whitaker said, this work has a way of changing you, too.

And that’s why I love what I do.

🌱 The Evolution of Relationships 🌱

Every relationship goes through changes over time, but one thing that remains crucial is the way we communicate. As we grow together, healthy communication becomes the bridge that helps us understand, support, and evolve with each other.

With each passing year, When we actively listen, express ourselves with honesty, and approach challenges with empathy, we lay the foundation for a relationship that becomes stronger with time. 💪

The key to lasting love and connection? Open, healthy communication. 🌿

✨ Let’s nurture our relationships and keep the conversation flowing. The more we communicate with care and respect, the more our relationships will blossom.

Hello! I wanted to take a moment to reintroduce myself.
I’m Tanner Taggart, born and raised in Morgan, Utah. I’m a Marriage and Family Therapist with over a decade of experience in the mental health field. After spending several years in inpatient treatment, working with teens, I’m excited to share that I am now focusing on outpatient therapy, which means I have more time available to help people one-on-one.

If you or someone you know is struggling with anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges, I’d love to help. I offer in-office sessions, Telehealth, and my personal favorite—walk-and-talk therapy.

Feel free to reach out if you’d like to learn more or schedule an appointment!

It’s alarming how seductive justification is. Justification is what gets us stuck. It keeps conflict alive, gets us stuck in old habits, and keeps us from reaching our goals. Justification is something that we master at a young age (ie. 👉They started it). Not taking responsibility for our actions.
Why is it so easy to justify poor
behavior and/or actions?

HOPE. Hope is a key element of change. Where do you draw your hope from?
One thing that can help foster hope is giving yourself credit for the little things.
The more you do that, the more you see that those things are not so little.
Being there for someone you love might be a little thing that is not so little. Getting up in the morning when you feel exhausted is another.
Mental illness is not an easy thing to battle. Without hope, it just might win.
Comment below where you get your hope from.
