Pain in your legs with physical activity? Cramping in your calves? It may be more than just fatigue.

(PAD) affects blood flow to the legs and feet — and it’s more common than you might think. Because symptoms can be mild or easy to mistake for something else, PAD often goes undiagnosed. Over time, reduced blood flow can lead to more serious issues if it’s not addressed.

The good news: PAD can often be managed with the right care. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, medication or procedures to help improve circulation.

➡️ If something doesn’t feel right or you think you may be at risk, talk to your primary care doctor. They may refer you to a specialist for further evaluation. Find a doctor near you: https://bit.ly/4eus9dM

Summer 2026 is officially in session! ☀️

For kids, the warmer months can be more dangerous. Children are more prone to dehydration, severe sunburns and accidents, resulting in an increase in pediatric emergency room visits nationwide.

Dr. Aziz Farhat—the Pediatrics Medical Director for MountainStar Children’s Services who works at Timpanogos Regional Hospital—joined Kelly Chapman & Dan Evans on Good Day Utah to talk about how we can prepare our kids to handle certain types of emergencies. Bottom line? It's important to have a conversation.

General Rules in an Emergency:
🔵 Stay calm so you can think clearly.
🔵 Get help as quickly as you can.
🔵 If possible, send someone for help.
🔵 Give first aid, but only if you know how.
🔵 Reassure the person that help is on the way.

Timpanogos Regional, Ogden Regional Medical Center, and care sites across our HCA Healthcare network—known locally across Utah as MountainStar Healthcare—provide specialized, kid-friendly ERs, featuring 24/7 care from pediatric-trained doctors and nurses, and specialized child-sized equipment. Stay safe out there!

As we continue celebrating Patient Care Technician Week, we're proud to recognize the dedicated caregivers who make a difference in the lives of our patients every day.

Meet Amelia from our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)! For nearly five years, Amelia has been caring for some of our smallest and most vulnerable patients while supporting their families through important milestones and moments of hope.

What does Amelia love most about being a PCT?

"I love being a PCT because I get to work up close with my tiny patients and celebrate all of their biggest milestones as they become less tiny. It’s one of the most special things to be a part of!"

In the NICU, every ounce gained, every milestone reached, and every step toward home is worth celebrating. Amelia's compassion and dedication help create meaningful experiences for patients and families during their journey.

Thank you, Amelia, for the exceptional care, kindness, and support you bring to ORMC each day. We are grateful for all that you do!
