What a beautiful happy hour we enjoyed earlier this month with our Cheers & Chill featuring live music and delicious refreshments. Everyone enjoyed the fresh air, relaxed atmosphere, and each other’s company. We are so thrilled to have our courtyard where we can come together, cheers one another, and chill 🌺🍹✨

Community is quite the buzz word these days, but for us it’s always been the main event. You know what impacts seniors the most? Connection. When we think of growing older what we want is happiness, health, and safety. But the reality is that happiness encourages health which prolongs safety. The bedrock of achieving happiness, health, and safety is human connection. There’s the evidence and also our intuition — humans just aren’t meant to be alone. When we can combine connection with playfulness, fun, games, and engagement — well it’s hard to find anything better!

The beautiful thing about games and puzzles is that they are not just a fun hobby. There are so many health benefits! Puzzles are an exercise in dexterity, concentration, collaboration, memory improvement, problem-solving skills, and visual spatial reasoning. Whoever thought it was just fun and games — it’s that, and so much more! ✨🧩🥰

A few weeks ago we channeled our inner-children with a plushie adoption party! The residents who wanted to join got to select their plushie, name their plushie, and fill out their official bio. This was an exercise in imagination, and we had such a fun time! ✨🧸☺️

It’s time for Cheers and Chill again — we’ll be embracing the warm weather with some live Hawaiian music to be enjoyed on our patio while we sip refreshing beverages. The festivities begin at 3:30pm tomorrow (Thursday, August 13). Come on by! Friends and family are always welcome! 🍹🌺✨

Recently we ventured into downtown Ojai to peruse the shops and enjoy the atmosphere. While we work hard to develop an enriching and secure community within Ojai Meadows, we also want to be part of the wider community of Ojai, which has so much to offer our residents and vice versa. We are so lucky to be located in such a vibrant, supportive, creative, and warm community as that of Ojai and the greater Ventura County 💛

I’m not sure anything feels more like summer than bubbles in the sunshine. With bubble wands and bubble machines, we enjoyed our courtyard as it was transformed into a whimsical fairyland of bubble fun 🫧🫧✨
