Men's Wisdom Work Training men (self-identified) to radically improve their capacity for relational intimacy, consciou

Pain times resistance equals suffering, and I love this idea. It’s so helpful to me.

Pain is the moment that something happens. You burn your finger, or your partner says something that really hurts you. Then the resistance comes, and the resistance is everything that you do. You defend yourself, you get angry, you get reactive, you scream, or you shut down. And then the suffering is the meaning that you make, like, this is so horrible, this is doomed, I never get what I want.

So when you lower your resistance down to zero, suffering can go down to zero. Releasing resistance is not about ignoring what’s happening. It’s about releasing your resistance to the painful thing that’s happening, and then you relate directly to the pain.

You will still feel pain and discomfort, and there are many, many ways to work with pain. It also opens a more vulnerable, emotionally safe environment for you and your partner to grow together.

This is not just relational work, this is spiritual work.

Let’s completely rewire your relationship. DM me SHIFT to explore one-to-one work.

Men, the struggles we face in our intimate relationships reveal the places within ourselves where our deepest growth is being asked of us.

If your heart hungers for deeper connection in relationship, but your relationship dynamic is too deeply disconnected, how can you continue to tolerate it?

Your lack of self-worth just compounds every day and you feel worse and worse about yourself. It’s time to make a change.

Remember that the struggles you’re experiencing in your intimate relationship are pointing to exactly where you need to do your work.

If we continue to blame the other, to feel like a victim, like this is happening to us, then we remain disempowered.

This work moves more swiftly having support and guidance.
Just bring your hunger to grow!

You have the capacity and you can change this.

If you’re ready to lead with depth and an open heart, DM me SHIFT. Let’s have a conversation and see if we’re a good fit to work together.

The 5 Most Common Reasons Men Come to Me for Relationship Coaching

After years of working closely with men, I’ve noticed certain struggles come up again and again in their intimate relationships.

Of course, these issues are often interconnected. A man who struggles with confidence may also have difficulty setting boundaries. A man who feels unwanted by his partner may become reactive, withdraw emotionally, or begin questioning his own worth.

Here are the five most common reasons men seek my support:

5. The Nice Guy Pattern: Losing Yourself to Keep the Peace**

4. Struggling to Stay Grounded When Emotions Run High**

3. Withholding Truth, Breaking Agreements, and Damaging Trust**

2. Feeling Unwanted, Rejected, or Undesired**

1. Struggling with Masculine Confidence in Relationships**

Sometimes a man comes to me because his relationship is falling apart, while other times he’s simply tired of repeating the same patterns and wants to become a better partner.

Whatever brings a man into this work, I’m interested in helping him understand what’s happening beneath the surface, take responsibility for his part, and develop the emotional maturity, confidence, and relational skills to create a more fulfilling relationship.

If you recognize yourself in any of these five areas and you’re ready to work on them, comment SHIFT below or DM and we’ll have a conversation to see how this work can radically benefit you.

I’ve noticed myself going into protector mode when I see women out and about in a store or on the street.

The Cornell case has brought women’s safety back to the forefront of the global conversation about violence against women.

Hearing about it, talking about it, and thinking about it has made me more aware and more conscious of how I’ve been relating to women in public, and it starts with simple awareness.

On the micro level, it’s creating safety for your spouse or partner to express themselves and feel their emotions, which creates a better-functioning relationship.

On the macro level, it’s having more awareness to help women feel safer, through simple actions like putting more space between you and them in a narrow elevator, on a sidewalk, or on a subway, stopping or at least decreasing the leering at women and the objectifying; and bringing a greater level of respect and honor to women.

Keep it in your awareness to protect women, because beyond these small actions, it’s in how we raise our sons and in how we stop men who are speaking misogynistically toward women.

I’m asking men to answer the question, what can we do to help women feel safer in the world?

Comment and tag a brother.

What happened at Cornell is massively magnifying the changes that must happen in how we treat women, and no pushback from the hyper-masculine manosphere culture is going to override that.

We all must fight against the degradation of women, the victim blaming, the silence of those fifty men who read that text and said nothing.
One of the root causes of how these boys were able to ignore any kind of moral compass is in how their fathers treat women, and we must pay attention to how fathers are raising their boys because that is the model of what kind of man they are going to be.

And for a boy who does not have a father in his life, it can be a stepfather, an uncle, a coach, or a mentor, because every boy needs at least one man who shows him through his own actions what it looks like to honor and protect women.

It is not what a father tells his son, it is in how he models and in how he treats his partner, his wife, or any woman in his life, because you are giving your son an implicit teaching by how you treat women.

Teach your sons deep reverence, respect, honor, and consent.
Women are the sacred creative force on this planet, the life givers, the holders of our families.
Every woman is someone’s daughter, someone’s sister, someone’s mother. Treat every one of them with honor, respect, and the deepest reverence.

We all have a responsibility to speak out against the degradation of women. If you find yourself in a crowd of misogynists, speak out against them. Silence in those moments is not neutral, silence enables harm, silence perpetuates harm.

Thank you Ms Mayday

Someone recently told me I must hate Jews because I oppose the oppressive actions of the Israeli government.

ummm nope, I don’t, I love the beauty of the Jewish culture.

I’m speaking to something much larger: the shadow of patriarchal power.

The shadow of the King is the Tyrant. Domination, control, power over others, and the need to silence those who oppose you.

This is a shadow we see playing out across our world, and one we are collectively being called to confront and transform.

I’m breaking my silence and calling on others to break theirs.

May all beings be free from suffering and the causes of suffering.
May all beings know peace. 🙏
