Productivity is the key to achieving meaningful success. Starting small with what you can do instantly and then working your way to becoming a productive individual in the long run will help you get things done easier and more timely.

What would you add to this list?

Leaving your comfort zone is a GOOD THING...but not too far. Too far outside your comfort zone is when we might panic, we might freak out, we may feel completely unprepared for whatever it is we are doing...and, you’re probably right!

But JUST OUTSIDE your comfort zone is where you grow. It’s close enough so that you have the skills you need to be successful, but far enough outside of it where you might fail, you might struggle, you might hurt. THIS IS GOOD.

During that struggle, that pain, that GROWTH - you may start to doubt yourself. This is where coaches play such a vital role. Helping athletes understand this part of growth can be so helpful. It’s so easy to believe you are the ONLY ONE struggling...but when a coach can say “Hey, calm down, this is normal. You got this.” It can be such a relief, and such a boost at the same time.

Stay with it, team.

I have learned that I am constantly coaching, it comes natural to me, and I think I find opportunities that allow me to do it. The “title” might change, the delivery might change, the “COACH” is still there…whether I am coaching a team, instructing an athlete, counseling a client with their anxiety, parenting my 2 year old, helping a friend….the coach hat never really comes off.

Think of the person who inspires you most. What is it they do that is so inspiring? And how do they inspire you to perform your best? What strengths do they have that are lighting you up?

On the flip side - YOU are that person for someone else out there. There are strengths about YOU that someone else is in awe of, that is inspiring them to be better. When you start to doubt the work that you are doing, remember that you are inspiring others, whether you know it or not.

One of my mentors asked told me this, and now, I live by it. I do have to keep myself in check on a regular basis though. 💥
For me, taking on a new project is FUN. No expectations, exciting new challenges, let’s go for it and see what happens!
The “newness” can be appealing but it’s not always what you NEED in that moment.
A new project is one more ball in the air, requiring more energy and more focus to try to keep them all in motion....and you only so much energy to give! When you keep throwing balls in the air, you’re bound to drop a few....⚽️🏀🥎
If you’re like me, try this :
✅ write down your top 3-5 goals, ambitions, priorities.
✅when a new SOMETHING comes along (project, challenge, person) ask yourself...is the juice worth the squeeze? 🧃does it help you reach those top 3-5 goals? Does it fall into your main priorities?
and if the answer is no, time to take a pass. And that is OK. Saying no to something that is outside your priorities is saying YES to the things you truly care about.
You got this. 🧃🧃🧃
