Juneteenth is a time to reflect on our nation’s history, honor the resilience and contributions of Black Americans, and celebrate Black culture and achievements.

This story comes from our Home Health Aide, Alyvia Sommers. She states,
“I feel like I end up having a strong connection with each patient and sometimes their families too. I get to do what I love every day and help people feel cared for, heard, and valued. With home health, I get the opportunity and privilege to go into their home and help them, in their own space where they feel comfortable and safe. I get the privilege to learn about their likes, dislikes, wants and needs, and I try to stay upbeat, encouraging and even entertaining. I strive to make their time with me fun and enjoyable.”
The patient and client relationship ripples all the way to the top.

In an effort to raise awareness of Alzheimer's and Brain Health, we are sharing a blog on symptoms and early signs of Alzheimer's. According to the Alzheimer's Association, research shows that healthy habits such as a healthy diet, physical activity, and sleep can support brain health and reduce the risk of cognitive decline.
