WHAT IF?

We are often caught up dealing with an overfilled to-do list in our daily grind, aren’t we. There is always something to accomplish . . . do the laundry, pay the bills, get to the market, read the book . . . And our minds move non-stop. Yet, murmuring in the background of noise our hearts ask, “what if?"

“What if” . . . These two words, when brought together, are so powerful. They open the doors of our imagination to look beyond the here and now. They loosen the weight of what seems absolute and allows us to feel the fluidity of life. “What if” becomes the spark of creation, and you are the artist!

Imagine a blank canvas in front of you, ready to receive the touch of your brush. The palette in your hand hold the colors of your thoughts. What will you paint? Will the bright and vibrant colors of your dreams and desires fill the blanket of white before you? Or will the muddy hues of worry and doubt be cast upon it? It depends on the part given the most attention.

You see, we make a decision every moment whether to give attention to the screaming fears of our minds . . . or to the soft whispers of possibility of our hearts. Our lives are a procession of canvases, one given to us every day. And as we move through our tasks at hand, we infuse the brushstrokes of color upon every moment . . . creating still. Such is the power of two little words . . . “What if”.

Peggy

Patience visited me
And it reminded me
That good things take time to come to fruition
And grow slowly with stability

Peace visited me
And it reminded me
That I may remain calm through the storms of life
Regardless of the chaos surrounding me

Hope visited me
And it reminded me
That better times lay ahead
And it would always be there to guide and uplift me

Humility visited me
And it reminded me
That I may achieve it
Not by trying to shrink myself and make myself less
But by focusing on serving the world and uplifting those around me

Kindness visited me
And it reminded me
To be more gentle, forgiving and compassionate toward myself
And those surrounding me

Confidence visited me
And it reminded me
To not conceal or suppress my gifts and talents
In order to make others feel more comfortable
But to embrace what makes me me

Focus visited me
And it reminded me
That other people’s insecurities and judgements about me
Are not my problem
And I should redirect my attention
From others back to me

Freedom visited me
And it reminded me
That no one has control over my mindset, thoughts and wellbeing
But me

And love visited me
And it reminded me
That I need not search for it in others
As it lies within me.

Dear Friends,

Being a true Autumn girl, the Summer months seem so very long to me. I can hardly wait for the sizzling heat to give way to crisp mornings. Most of us have a season where we feel more active and alive, and another where we run for cover. Life is like that, too, with times of ebb and flow.

In our modern day of global internet, instantaneous news flashes, and events happening at warp speed, people have become accustomed to immediate explanations, feedback, and results. And yet, Divine Timing doesn’t work that way, and that makes so many of us uncomfortable. Like small children, we want everything NOW.

In the beautiful tapestry of life, there is a sacred rhythm and harmony that manages every moment. The intelligence of the Universe ensures the greatest gifts in each of our lives . . . every opportunity and encounter arrive in precise timing . . . when our hearts and souls are prepared to receive them . . . and not when we demand them. The delays we experience are often loving protection.

We are asked to trust the pauses and embrace the wait. The outer world may portray a standstill . . . but our inner landscape reveals so much more . . . the perfect preparation of the foundation we will build upon. Maybe we don’t have the full picture yet, but we feel the pull toward something greater. And again we are asked to allow it to unfold, easily and naturally.

So, while in the silent lull, breathe. Release the urgency. Embrace with wonder the divine gifts as they reveal themselves within the perfect moment. Trust in Divine Timing. What’s in store for us will always be worth the wait.

With much love,
Peggy Lindsey

When we heal, sometimes that means letting go people from our lives that just don’t serve us anymore . . . family and friends included. When we have reached a point where we value our own health and well-being, we understand the importance of surrounding ourselves with those that truly love and support us. We get to choose a family of heart and soul!

It’s easy to stay somewhere when it’s familiar, even when it’s unhealthy or uncomfortable. And when we do, we continue living life in circles, experiencing the same old patterns and outcomes.

But what if you finally decided “no more”! That decision is the first step in a new direction, a new way of life, a healing everything to that point.

Are you waiting to make this change for yourself? The time is now. Choose a new way . . . a better way . . . Choose yourself!

With love,
Peggy

The choice is simple: will you continue to scatter your power in reaction to the world, or will you anchor into your heart and choose the path of inner stillness?

The way of happiness, peace, and joy lies within us.

Abandonment can look many ways, but they all share the same result . . . we are left feeling afraid and alone. As adults we can begin to heal by choosing not to abandon ourselves . . . to find our way back to wholeness . . .

With love,
Peggy

if abandonment is the core wound

the disconnection from mother

the loss of wholeness

then the most potent medicine

is this ancient commitment

to never abandon

yourself

to discover wholeness in the whole-mess

to be a loving mother

to your insides

to hold the broken bits

in warm open awareness

and to illuminate the sore places

with the light

of love

TABLE FOR ONE, PLEASE.
Sometimes, when the noise and commotion become too much, the heart and soul asks us to withdraw into the quiet of our thoughts and feelings. Maybe we cannot have a solitary getaway with a room with a view, but we can turn off the phone, the news, the madness …. and within this silent sanctuary, we can pray, journal, weep, sing, hope, and just be.

With love,
Peggy
