5208 W Reno services include: Pediatrics, Health Promotion Disease Prevention, STAR diabetes prevention, Behavioral Health, Public Health, Wellness Center and Physical Therapy. OKCIC's 309 location houses Primary Care Teams, Optometry, Easy Access, Lab, Health Information and more. Are you wondering what goes on in our Build & Bring class? Take a look at what some of our patients are working on. We have some talented folks who come every week to work on their projects, share ideas, and help each out out.

Join us for Build & Bring: A Cultural Creation Circle, every Monday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. This program is open to OKCIC patients of all ages and offers a space to gather, create, and share alongside others.

Bring your beadwork, sewing, regalia making, drawing, or any creative project and enjoy an evening of culture, conversation, and community connection. Whether you’re learning something new or continuing a project you already love, everyone is welcome to join in and create together.

The Wellness Center will be closed today, August 21st, from 1:00–4:00 p.m. for our monthly deep cleaning. During this time, the facility will be unavailable to both patients and staff as we take time to keep the space clean, safe, and ready for everyone.

As a reminder, routine deep cleanings are typically scheduled for the third Friday of each month. If the schedule changes due to a holiday, we’ll be sure to share an update.

Looking for something to do after school this fall? After-School Stickball starts Thursday, August 27, and is open to current OKCIC patients ages 13 and older. Youth, adults, and parents can participate together or on their own while learning and playing this traditional Native game. The class meets Thursdays from 4:30–5:30 p.m. through October 8. A current nutrition referral is required, and applications are due August 20.

When you or a family member isn't feeling well, getting care shouldn't be complicated. OKCIC Convenience Care South is now seeing patients ages 3 months and older, making it easier than ever for your family to get the care you need close to home.

Our team is here to treat everyday illnesses and minor injuries, including fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, ear pain, sprains, and more. To receive services, patients will need a CDIB card, a federally recognized tribal enrollment card, or a Letter of Descendancy.

For a smoother visit and shorter wait times, we encourage you to call ahead to schedule your appointment at (405) 814-3400. We're open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 1100 SW 89th St. in Oklahoma City.

Starting in 2027, most Medicaid enrollees will face new work requirements, more frequent eligibility checks, and new cost-sharing charges under the One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Some states have already begun implementing these changes ahead of the national deadline. Indians, Urban Indians, California Indians, and individuals otherwise determined eligible for the Indian Health Service are exempt.

NCUIH's new resource, Medicaid is Changing, breaks down exactly what the exemption protects, including no work requirement, a retained 12-month renewal cycle, and no new cost sharing at Indian health care providers (this cost-sharing protection does not extend to care received elsewhere). It also outlines what HHS and CMS need to do to ensure states apply the exemption correctly.

Today, we’re celebrating Oklahoma City Indian Clinic Day and the staff who make OKCIC possible every day. From the teams providing direct patient care to the staff working behind the scenes, each person plays a role in helping patients access care, programs and resources. Over the years, that teamwork has helped OKCIC grow to serve more than 25,000 patients from over 200 federally recognized tribes, while expanding services and locations such as Convenience Care South.

You don't have to navigate memory loss alone. OKCIC's Dementia Support Group provides a place for patients living with dementia or memory concerns, as well as caregivers, family members, and friends, to connect, learn, and share their experiences.

The group meets on the last Wednesday of every month from 10–11 a.m. in the OKCIC 5208 3rd Floor Boardroom. Each session includes education about dementia, caregiving, and brain health, along with practical strategies, conversation, cultural connection, and access to trusted resources.
