I think we put so much pressure on ourselves as mothers to figure out what we’re going to do and then stick to it.

How we’ll birth, how we’ll feed our babies, where they’ll sleep, how we’ll discipline, how we’ll educate them... the list goes on & on. And somehow, we pick up the message over time that changing our minds can start to feel like admitting we were wrong or have failed.

But there is so much freedom in realizing that you don’t have to make every decision forever!

You can be thoughtful. You can research, pray, and know your values are. You can make intentional choices & educate yourself about your options. And then you can pay attention to your actual baby, birth, body, family, and season the Lord has placed in front of you & respond accordingly!

Sometimes, that involves changing your mind or making a choice you never thought you would. That isn’t failure... that’s wisdom, friend.

Prepare well. Make thoughtful choices. And then we get to entrust our plans into the One who holds it all. 🤍

I can’t wait to keep learning, growing, and witnessing the miraculous miracle that is birth. Thank you to my past “clients” (which I truly consider my friends) for trusting me & allowing me to be a part of your birth team or prepare you for the journey to meeting your little one! I finally got to attend a Spinning Babies workshop yesterday and I loved every minute of it! 🎉

I loved getting to dive deeper into how baby’s position and a mother’s body working together can change the entire flow of labor. We talked a lot about balance in the body, making space for baby, and ways to support a birth where we suspect baby’s position is causing some challenges. I also got so much hands-on practice & made some new friends!

I can’t WAIT to weave this into my doula support and education moving forward, and I’m so grateful I got to spend the day learning about my favorite thing. Also, the real mvp goes to my incredible husband who took the day off work to be with our kids!!

Just one of my favorite verses & some encouragement for when growing a baby or having a newborn in your home feels loud and overwhelming and just… a lot.

He’s not rushing you. He’s not expecting you to have it all together. He knows what this season requires and He’s leading us (mothers) with care. 🤍

Today I completed ‘s Advanced VBAC Doula Certification, and I’ve been sitting with all that I learned! 🤍🎉

Not just more knowledge, but a deeper understanding of how to support women walking into a birth that often carries more questions, more voices, more emotional layers, and more weight than most. VBAC is not just about a clinical outcome. It’s about trust being rebuilt, options being understood, and mothers being supported in a way that feels steady and informed!

I’m really grateful to continue growing in this work and to better serve the women who invite me into such important moments 🤍
