What is Alopecia?

It’s an autoimmune condition that damages hair follicles resulting in hair loss. Hair may come out in small or large patches and can affect the hair on your scalp, eyebrows, or anywhere on your body. It’s estimated to affect 6.8 million people in the United States. Anyone can develop alopecia, but it often starts in childhood.
