🦵 Why Does My Knee Pop, Click, or Crack?

Have you ever stood up, climbed the stairs, or bent down and heard your knee pop or crack?

You're not alone. In many cases, occasional popping or cracking sounds are completely normal and can occur when:
✔ Air bubbles release within the joint
✔ Tendons or ligaments move over bones
✔ The knee moves through its normal range of motion

However, knee popping may need attention if it's accompanied by:
⚠ Pain
⚠ Swelling
⚠ Locking or catching
⚠ Instability or the feeling your knee may "give out"
⚠ Difficulty walking or climbing stairs

Conditions such as arthritis, cartilage damage, meniscus tears, and ligament injuries can all contribute to these symptoms.

The good news? Not every knee problem requires surgery. Many patients find relief through conservative treatment options.

If your knee popping is painful or interfering with daily activities, it may be time for an evaluation.
