An appointment reminder is not important because reminders are convenient. It matters because someone is more likely to make it to the appointment.

Access between visits gives someone a place to turn with a question or concern instead of waiting weeks for the next appointment. These are tangible points of connection to help people stay engaged in their care. Staying connected and engaged strengthens the safety net around the people we serve.

The role of MyCare is keeping people connected to care, not only at an appointment, but in the time between them.

In behavioral health, timing can change everything.

Too often, people wait until a crisis escalates before they're able to connect with a clinician. Others end up in settings that don't match the level of care they actually need. Neither situation serves the individual or the system.

When we put the right tools in someone's hands and make it easy to access professional help early, we create opportunities to de-escalate, assess, and connect people to the most appropriate level of care before their needs become more complex.

We aren't just preventing a crisis from happening today. We are simultaneously reducing unnecessary emergency room visits, avoiding expensive hospitalizations, and improving engagement with outpatient services.

As behavioral health professionals, we know access is often the biggest barrier. The easier we make it to ask for help, the more likely someone is to receive the right care at the right time.
