Children’s Eye Care is hiring a full-time front desk receptionist for a high-volume pediatric ophthalmology clinic in Oklahoma City. Position will be the first and/or last point of contact for patients in a fast paced environment with 5 providers.

Responsibilities include answering phones, scheduling patient appointments, checking patients into and out of clinic, entering demographic data into electronic health records, collecting and posting patient payments, coordinating insurance benefits and doctor referrals and other duties as assigned.

Our multi-physician pediatric ophthalmology practice is growing and seeking to add an experienced optometric technician/contact lens specialist to our team. Ideal candidate will be able to navigate a busy environment serving families and their children while working alongside technicians, doctors, and opticians. Applicant must be patient-care oriented, flexible, energetic, motivated, and must be a team player with proven customer service skills. Skills including bilingual in English/Spanish, data entry, experience with multi-line phone systems and/ or Microsoft Office are a plus.

Tasks related to this role include but are not limited to the following:

* Documenting patient history and preforming preliminary screening tests.

* Assisting the doctor with patient flow.

* Managing all messages for assigned doctor and contact lens orders.

* Assisting patients with new and yearly contact lens fit appointments.

*Ordering contacts for patients and filing insurance.

* Merchandising/ Managing Contact Lens Inventory.

* All aspects of customer service including fielding incoming phone calls, mail, returning messages, etc.

Job Type: Full time/ Monday-Friday

But it’s treatable!
Early detection is key. Having a good relationship with your eye doctor is important- never be afraid to ask questions or make follow up appointments or calls! Wearing a patch for the prescribed time matters. Don’t let obstacles, fears, others’ judgements get in the way. Patching is hard but it works. Vision matters. Fight blindness! Educate those around you to promote awareness and early detection vision screenings.
