🗣❤️Why is self-love so hard for some of us and why does it have such a big impact on our whole life?!
Negative thoughts you have about yourself often stem from experiences you've had in early life.
Through various things that have happened to you and the way you interpret these things as a child, you might have come to the conclusion that you are 'stupid', 'incompetent' 'unlovable' or some other negative judgement.
However, if you still have these negative core beliefs as an adult it's likely that there are things you do on a day to day basis that keep the negative beliefs you developed as a child, alive today.
It may be that the way you respond to certain day to day situations, all serve to keep your negative core beliefs going.
Here's an example - If you believe you are unloveable you may have biased expectations when approaching situations with loved ones.
Biased expectations such as "of course they don't care about me, that's why they didn't call me back". These biased expectations may then cause you to behave in certain ways. for example, avoid speaking to that person.
These thoughts and behaviours then contribute to you feeling anxious, or sad, and doubtful. On top of that, the person that you've avoided speaking to might decide that from your behaviour (avoiding them) it is you that does not care about them and they may end up actually withdrawing from you.
However,
As far as you're concerned this now confirms that you were right, your negative core belief remains unchanged, and the cycle continues.
If this sounds like you, then stay tuned.
I have something coming up that will solve this very problem. You're going to love how simple I make it for you.
