It's Fiction Friday! This week we are featuring the sequel to the adult fantasy book "A Dance of Lies". The second and last book, "To Dance with Death" is out now.

"To Dance with Death" by Brittney Arena concludes the story of Vasalie, a girl with a chronic illness, and the boy she was falling in love with.

Vasalie sacrificed herself for Anton, the king she allied herself with and fell for. To bring her back, Anton struck a deal with Moranya, goddess of the underworld, but at a cost: his memories of the last six weeks. The truth, his compassion for Vasalie and everything that happened between them are gone.

Anton believes his friends betrayed him and accepts Moranya’s offer to rule the kingdom of the dead. But the kindgom he left behind is on the brink of war. Vasalie's father is threatening to invade and only Anton can restore peace.

To save the kingdom and Anton, she goes to the underworld to reclaim him and restore his memories.

Jeremy Lee, programs manager of the Career Planning Center, was recognized for his hard work with DRS at the Commission meeting on August 12.

Since becoming programs manager in August 2025, Jeremy has transformed his team by improving scheduling processes, strengthening communication, and creating a culture where employees feel valued, supported and heard. His leadership extends far beyond daily operations—he genuinely cares about the people he serves alongside.

Jeremy has also demonstrated remarkable dedication to the safety and wellbeing of others. During multiple building emergencies involving major HVAC water leaks, he acted immediately to protect employees and agency property, personally responding to hazardous situations and implementing preventative measures to reduce future risks. His proactive leadership has made the Career Planning Center a safer place for staff and visitors.

Perhaps most importantly, Jeremy leads with compassion. His attentiveness to his employees has had a profound impact, including recognizing a serious medical emergency involving a staff member and encouraging them to seek immediate care—an action they credit with saving their life.

Jeremy exemplifies the values of DRS and we are grateful for his outstanding service and leadership.

Oklahoma City, OK - The Commission for the Oklahoma Department of Rehabilitation Services on Wednesday named Sterling Zearley the agency’s new executive director.

He had been serving as the interim director since June 22.
