One evening, Tammy received two new patients near the end of her shift. She stayed well past her departure time to make sure both patients were comfortably settled in, all orders were verified and all the patient’s home medications were reconciled correctly. Thanks to her dedication, these patients were assured right away their care was in great hands.

MYTH: Bone strength is the same throughout your body.

FACT: Not all bones are created equal.
The femur (thigh bone) is the largest and strongest bone in the human body, built to provide support and withstand significant forces during movement.

The best way to build and preserve bone density is through weight-bearing and resistance exercises, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Activities like brisk walking, jogging, hiking or lifting weights force your bones to work against gravity, triggering them to rebuild and stay strong.
