Members of our Family Preservation Services team joined partners from across the state at 111Project's 1Night/1Day Conference, joining advocates from across Oklahoma who share a commitment to helping children and families thrive. Together, we learned from one another, shared ideas and explored new ways to support Oklahoma families before challenges become crises.

We're especially grateful for partners like 111Project and CarePortal. When members of our community face urgent needs, our team can submit CarePortal requests that connect families with people ready to help, often providing practical resources that ease stress, strengthen stability and support family preservation. CarePortal is designed to connect vetted local needs with people and organizations prepared to respond.

Every child deserves a community that shows up for them. We're thankful for the people who step up every day to support children and families when it matters most!

United is the way we show up for our neighbors.

We're proud to stand alongside fellow United Way of Central Oklahoma partner agencies like City Care and Neighborhood Services Organization. Recent visits with our staff offered a closer look at the life-changing work they're doing across the Oklahoma City metro and beyond. As campaign season begins, we're reminded that lasting impact begins locally – and with people coming together around a shared purpose. Our team proudly supports United Way because we see that impact firsthand! Together, we're building a stronger network of support for Oklahomans of all ages.

Big emotions can be hard for kids to understand and even harder to manage. That's why our Zones of Regulation group is designed to help children recognize what they're feeling, express those emotions in healthy ways and build lifelong self-regulation skills.

Beginning the week of Sept. 14 at our Meridian location, this free group helps children learn to identify emotions by "zones" and develop practical tools to navigate frustration, anxiety, excitement and other feelings in a healthy and balanced way.

At NorthCare, we know every child and family is different. Through groups like Zones of Regulation, we're helping families strengthen social skills, build self-esteem, improve communication and increase positive behaviors at home and at school.

Registration is simple and participation is free! Learn more and enroll today by calling (405) 858-2700.

The only thing Naloxone enables is breathing.

Every overdose death is someone's child, parent, friend, coworker or neighbor.

According to the CDC, Oklahoma lost more than 1,000 people to drug overdoses in 2024. Behind every one of those numbers is a family, a friend and a future that should have had more time.

Keeping Naloxone on hand is no different than having a fire extinguisher or AED nearby. You hope you never need it. But if you do, seconds matter.

Get free Naloxone today at okimready.org.
