As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy and the spirit of our great nation, we want to wish all of our patients, families, and community a safe and joyful Fourth of July.

📅 Holiday Hours: Our office will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, and will reopen at 7:30 AM on Monday, July 6th.

Whether you’re spending the day with family, enjoying a backyard barbecue, or watching fireworks, we hope you have a wonderful holiday filled with laughter, good health, and cherished memories.

Hypertension Awareness — Protect Your Heart
From Heart Solutions of Oklahoma

High blood pressure — also known as hypertension — is one of the most common and dangerous health conditions affecting adults in the United States. It often develops without any noticeable symptoms, which is why routine screening is so important.

Why High Blood Pressure Matters

Over time, uncontrolled blood pressure can lead to:
• Heart disease and heart failure
• Stroke
• Kidney damage
• Vision loss
• Cognitive decline

Even when you feel perfectly well, blood pressure may still be causing harm to your heart and arteries.

Know Your Numbers

• Normal: less than 120/80 mmHg
• High Blood Pressure: 135/85 mmHg or higher

A single elevated reading doesn’t always mean hypertension, but consistent high readings should be addressed by a healthcare professional.

What You Can Do

• Maintain a heart-healthy diet (lower sodium, more fruits/vegetables)
• Stay physically active — aim for at least 150 minutes per week
• Avoid smoking and limit alcohol
• Reduce stress where possible
• Take blood pressure medication exactly as prescribed
