Take a closer look at one of the most important steps in the proton therapy process, the CT simulation scan.

A CT (computed tomography) scan uses a series of x-ray images to create detailed pictures of the body, helping our team accurately identify the location, size, and shape of a tumor.

At the Oklahoma Proton Center, this scan serves as the foundation for every patient's personalized treatment plan. After imaging is complete, our physicians, physicists, and dosimetrists work together to contour the tumor and nearby organs at risk (OARs) using advanced treatment planning software. This detailed process allows us to design a proton therapy plan that precisely targets cancer while minimizing radiation exposure to healthy tissue.

We were honored to welcome Avery Bass and Sophie Wilson from the Oklahoma State Cowgirl Soccer team to the Oklahoma Proton Center!

Avery and Sophie spent time serving lunch to our patients and families, helping with our patient graduation ceremony.

Thank you, Avery and Sophie, for taking time to support our patients and celebrate their milestones. We are grateful for your visit and for the positive impact you made on our Proton Center family. 🧡🖤

Thank you to everyone who participated in this year's Proton Pals Foundation of Oklahoma Drive Out Cancer Golf Tournament!

Your support helped raise funds that will directly benefit cancer patients and their families. We had a great day on the course, and a special thanks to Pistol Pete for stopping by to take photos, meet golfers, and join in the fun.

If you couldn't make it, you can still support Proton Pals and the families we serve by donating here: https://ow.ly/SXEk50Zc4XX

Fifteen years cancer-free is something truly worth celebrating. Shannon’s story is a reminder that healing happens one day at a time and that even the hardest journeys can lead to moments of incredible gratitude and joy.

To all cancer survivors, whether you're newly finished with treatment or years beyond it, we celebrate you this month and every month.

What once felt impossible became one day, one month, one year at a time. This milestone is a reminder that strength often shows up quietly—in the decision to keep going, even when the path ahead is uncertain.

Grateful for every person who stood with me, every lesson learned, and every day I've been given. To anyone facing their own battle: keep believing in tomorrow. Hope is powerful and you are not doing it alone.

Here's to faith, hope, healing and the strength we often don't know we have. đź’™

A big thank you to The University of Oklahoma high jumpers Julian McCullough and Tyson Ritz for visiting the Oklahoma Proton Center!

They toured our facility, met patients, and helped celebrate treatment milestones by presenting commemorative coins. Hearing their reflections on the experience and the impact proton therapy can have on patients was truly meaningful.

We appreciate them taking the time to learn more about our mission and support our patients. Best of luck, Julian and Tyson! Oklahoma Sooners Oklahoma Track & Field and Cross Country
