Please allow me to officially introduce Joey, Manager of Operations here at Becoming Freya.
His responsibilities include supervising all studio activity, monitoring productivity, sitting directly in the way whenever possible, demanding mandatory attention breaks, and conducting very serious quality-control inspections.
Compensation is paid entirely in treats, cuddles, and the occasional opportunity to knock something off a table.
He takes his position very seriously.
And after careful consideration, management has also selected Joey as Employee of the Month
Was there anyone else in the running? Technically, yes.
Did Joey approve the final decision? Also yes.
Whether he actually contributes to productivity is still under review.
But morale? Excellent.

I’m currently in my studio...you know, the place where all the magic, creativity, and a healthy dose of mayhem happen.
I’m minding my own business, working away on a flyer for a customer, when suddenly I get that unmistakable feeling…
Someone is watching me.
I look up and THIS is what I see.
Joey. Perched high above me, silently judging my every move and giving me 'the look'.
You know the one.
He’s either gazing at me with deep, undying love… or carefully calculating how difficult it would be to make my disappearance look like an accident.
With cats, it really could go either way.
I’m choosing to believe this particular stare means, You have worked long enough. I require attention immediately.
So apparently, management has called an unscheduled break.
And judging by that face, I don’t think it’s optional.

Joey has once again appointed himself “Official Christmas Tree Inspector,” and let’s just say… he takes his job very seriously. 😂✨
If there’s a branch to climb or an ornament to swat, Joey is ON IT.

Meet Everett, my little Winter Woods Gnome ❄️🎄
He wandered into my craft table looking like he just stepped out of a cozy pine forest — beard blowing like a snowstorm and berries still stuck in his hat. I swear he hummed a woodland song at me. 😂

Everett is officially for sale at $7.50, and he comes with a printed story card telling the tale of his life in the Winter Woods. Because every gnome deserves a little magic behind him. ✨

I’m thinking about adding some of his village mates to my shop — each with their own name, personality, and tiny backstory. Imagine a whole little gnome village for Christmas. 🏡🌲✨
