Peripheral artery disease (PAD) is a common condition in which narrowed arteries reduce blood flow to the arms or legs, usually the legs, causing leg pain when walking. Nearly 70% of people with PAD aren’t aware that they have it, and while PAD can affect anyone, some communities face a greater risk of developing it, delayed diagnosis, and more serious complications.
