We’re excited to welcome Kortney to our team as our first-ever Culture & Recruitment Manager!

So, what does she do? Kortney will focus on recruiting great people, building strong teams, supporting employee development, and creating a culture where people feel valued and want to stay.

Kortney was raised in Olney and graduated from Texas Tech University in 2019 with a degree in Interdisciplinary Agriculture. Her background in agriculture, communications, and relationship-building has given her a passion for connecting with people and telling the stories that make rural communities special.

When she's not at work, you'll likely find Kortney spending time with family and friends, traveling to livestock shows or road-tripping, or searching for the perfect local coffee shop before spending the afternoon antiquing.

We’re excited to have her helping us grow our team and showcase the people and culture that make Salt Creek & Countryside feel like home.

With temperatures staying high here in Texas, it's important to help keep your pets cool. Whether they're relaxing in the pool like Smokey and Bandit or lounging in the shade during the hottest parts of the day, a few simple steps can make a big difference.

Here are a few ways to beat the heat:
- Keep fresh, cool water available at all times.
- Limit outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.
- Let your pet cool off with water (if they enjoy swimming!).
- Watch for signs of overheating, such as excessive panting, drooling, or lethargy.
- Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle, even for a few minutes.

This is one of the few times a year all of our clinic locations get to come together as one and we believe investing in our team helps us provide the best possible care for you and your pets, and we appreciate your understanding while we take this time together!

🐾 Need urgent care? Our Wichita Falls Pet Urgent Care clinic will remain OPEN during our normal Saturday hours from 1:00 PM–5:00 PM and will be available to care for pets with any weekend needs!

Everyone's favorite deal is BACK!!🐈🐾🐱

It’s that time of year to get your stray or barn cats spayed/neutered at a fraction of the usual cost. These events are designed to help reduce the stray cat population, so this special pricing is specifically for feral, barn, or free-roaming cats.

We know how quickly colonies can grow! This is a great chance to get ahead of it without breaking the bank.

Here’s what you need to know:
📍 A discounted Rabies vaccine ($15) will be administered at the time of surgery unless proof of current vaccination is provided upon arrival.
📍 Cats must be dropped off by 9:00 AM on the day of surgery in a secure pet carrier or trap. We don't need any wild cats on the loose!
📍 You must call and reserve a surgical spot as they are limited per location!
📍 Every cat will have their ear tipped during surgery to indicate they’ve been fixed.
📍 Cats must weigh at least 4 lbs to undergo anesthesia.

Got house cats? We’ve got you covered there too. More specialized spay/neuter services are available for your house cats all year long at normal cost!
