Feeling stressed, reactive, or like your nervous system is always “on”?

A high Na/K ratio is one of the patterns I see in clients whose bodies are actively responding to stress.

You may notice:

✅ Increased anxiety
✅ Irritability
✅ Trouble relaxing
✅ Sleep disturbances
✅ Feeling wired but not necessarily rested

The Na/K ratio is often called the Vitality Ratio because it provides clues about adrenal activity, inflammation, and how the body is adapting to stress.

When it’s elevated, the body may be operating from a more activated, fight-or-flight state.

This isn’t necessarily “good” or “bad.”

It’s information.

And information helps us understand what support the body may need.

That’s why HTMA is so valuable—we can often see patterns developing before symptoms tell the whole story.

Have you ever felt like your body couldn’t find the “off” switch?

Feeling exhausted despite doing “all the right things?”

A high Ca/P ratio is one of the most common patterns I see in women who are:

✅Struggling to lose weight
✅ Running on empty
✅ Dealing with brain fog
✅Feeling less resilient to stress
✅ Wondering why their body isn’t responding anymore

The Ca/P ratio gives us clues about cellular energy production, protein utilization, and metabolic activity.

When it’s elevated, the body is often operating in a more energy-conserving state.

This isn’t a motivation problem.

It isn’t a willpower problem.

It’s information.

And information helps us create a plan.

That’s why I love HTMA—it helps us look beyond symptoms and understand what the body may be trying to tell us.

Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right but your body didn’t get the memo?

I have a question…
Why does dinner get to have appetizer, but breakfast is over here acting like it’s too important for a little pre-meal snack? 🤨

Enter: Rainier cherries 🍒
The official “I’m just having one” fruit that somehow turns into standing at the counter eating half the bowl.

And if you know, you know. These little sunshine orbs have a very short season and require immediate attention.
Breakfast appetizer? Approved.
Cherry tax? Paid.
Self-control? Currently unavailable. 😂

Most people try to start with supplements.

Or detoxes.
Or cutting out more foods.

But after looking at hundreds of HTMAs, blood labs, and health histories, I’ve found that the people who make the biggest improvements usually focus on the same foundational areas first:

✅Digestion
✅Blood sugar balance
✅ Mineral status
✅Gut motility
✅Nervous system regulation

Because your body doesn’t work in isolated systems.

👉Your hormones depend on minerals.
👉Your digestion depends on your nervous system.
👉Your energy depends on blood sugar balance.
👉Your gut depends on all of the above.

When these foundations are struggling, it can feel like you’re working harder and harder without getting the results you’re looking for.

💥That’s why I always come back to the basics.

Not because they’re exciting.

Because they work.

Which of these foundations do you think needs the most support right now?

If anyone ever ask if it’s “worth” braising 12 wild turkey legs for 12 hours in a hot tub filled with fruits & spices…

The answer will always be yes!
Wild turkey carnitas w/pickled red cabbage & grilled elote corn salad.

They’re:

And honestly?

I love finding simple ways to support the body without needing a cabinet full of supplements.

Bonus: they taste like fancy homemade jello cubes 😂

Save this recipe for your next “tired but wired” season. Your nervous system will thank you 🫶

Pre-breakfast!

Just a little something before my walk to keep my blood sugar happy.

The combination of protein-fiber-fat is perfect to keep my blood sugar steady before a walk/workout.

Ancient grain granola, organic raspberries, drinkable yogurt from & a sprinkle of h**p seeds.

Do you eat something within the first hour of waking?

Minerals don’t just impact energy levels and muscle cramps…
they play a HUGE role in gut health too 👀

Your stomach acid, digestive enzymes, bowel movements, gut lining, microbiome, and even inflammation levels all rely on minerals to function properly.

And here’s the cycle most people don’t realize:
➡️ Poor digestion can lead to mineral deficiencies
➡️ Mineral deficiencies can further impair digestion

Which means you can be eating “all the right things” and still struggle if absorption and mineral balance aren’t being supported.

This is why I look at the body as a whole system 🫶

✨Gut health isn’t just about probiotics.
✨Hormones aren’t just about hormones.

🔥And symptoms are rarely random.
