Sauna Benefits Minute by Minute
Minutes 1-3
Heart Rate begins to rise, similar to light exercise.
Minutes 4-7
Circulation to your skin and muscles begins to increase. Glucose uptake increases.
Minutes 8-12
Mitochondrial biogenesis is stimulated. Heat shock proteins begin to trigger your bodies repair pathways. Growth hormone increases up to 5X.
Minutes 13-16
Inflammation markers start to drop. Insulin sensitivity improves and your body begins to use glucose more effectively.
Minutes 17-20
Your body enters into an elevated state, where your metabolic rate is raised, it continues to burn calories even after you exit the sauna.

The sauna featured is a Nükk PNW Classic-Hart Edition, with a 6’x7x8’ hot room that has an L-bench, reverse slope ceiling, steam return, and is equipped with an Iki 9KW heater.
