Thank you so much for stoping in and, taking a look at my page! I hope you hit the "like" button and come back for delicious clean recipes, funny mom days, fitness tips, and daily motivation! I want this page to be a safe, and positive place! I want to share my journey here as a mom, in fitness, being a wife, and new business professional. I want to share it all with YOU. This means, the good, th
e bad, and the ugly. That's what motherhood is about right?! We know it's not all roses and rainbows. I want to share my story to hold myself accountable, and in the midst of that I hope to inspire someone ready to make themselves a priority. I am married to a man who serves our country in the Army, and although the road to where we are now was bumpy and full of twist and turns, I wouldn't change our story for the world. No marriage is perfect, and ours is no different. We make our marriage a priority because, this sets a good example to our kids. Our kids fill our hearts with so much laughter, love and joy. They also challenge us in so many ways through patience and acceptance. Through all of the challenges, the most amazing thing about children is, they always love with all their heart, and unconditionally. When I became a mom for the first time, five years ago I can clearly remember immersing myself completely. For two years I lost my self in everything baby and toddler. In that two years, I lost what made me, me. I no longer was Melissa, but Luke's mom. I was lacking confidence in my physical and emotional state, and had an abundance of anxiety. Thanks to a friend, I slowly got out of that funk. However, even years later I still was lacking something, something I couldn't really put my finger on. I was doing all the right things, going to a gym; but seeing no results. I was continuing my education, and I was working as a full time teacher. With all these different pockets of my life, I still felt like a visitor in my own body. I was anxious all the time, and it took it's toll on my personal relationships. Fast forward to having my sweet baby girl, and moving cross country, and leaving family. I could see that my anxiety was beginning to start up again. I was again unhappy with my body, and even though I was "skinny" I lacked that confidence. I knew I needed some kind of change. I came across an opportunity to work out at home, where I could fit this in between school, nap times, and self play times. After my first round I was HOOKED! The accountability groups, where you check in, and are held accountable for getting in those workouts, and eating the right foods was genius! After my first round I didn't magically lose all my post baby weight. Yes, I lost some pounds and inches however, I was still on a fitness journey. What I GAINED through these groups however outweighed my physical transformation. I found the CONFIDENCE I have been lacking for so long, I was taught how to properly fuel my body in a healthy way that not only serves me, but keeps my milk supply strong for my baby. I was learning, maybe for the first time since becoming a mom that it's just as important, if not the most important to fill YOUR own cup because, if I don't fill mine, I can not effectively and lovingly fill my families. I learned to LOVE my body, even through the obvious imperfections because this body grew and birthed two babies from scratch and, I have the pleasure and privilege to move it each day. I fell in love with the community of moms I was introduced to in these groups. The endless amount of support is incredibly inspiring! The COMMUNITY, the programs, the SUPPORT, and the RESULTS all work together to produce something that works! After my second round in these programs, I knew that I wanted to pay this forward and help other moms find who they are. Through lots of soul searching I realized that becoming a coach was a path I needed to take, and a path I was being called to take in my life. Being a military wife, at this point in my life I have the privilege of staying home. However, I want that to continue. I love being a teacher, it truly is a passion of mine, but the time spent with my children is far to precious to pass up. I fit my bussiness in the small "pockets" of mommy-hood while still providing the support, encouragement, and direction to the women and moms looking to find who they are, aside from being only mommy. The heart I have for this busniess is unwavering. I truly am loving being apart of this coach community, and a member of my amazing team. Again, Thank you for stopping by! I hope you click the "like" button. I hope I can inspire you to always fill your cup first. You simply can not pour from an empty one.
