We need to have a tiny intervention about how you’re treating your glasses. 😭👓

Your shirt is not a microfiber cloth. The dashboard of your car is not a glasses case. And putting your lenses face-down on the table is basically asking the universe for a scratch.

Use a clean microfiber cloth and appropriate lens cleaner, store your glasses in their case when you’re not wearing them, and avoid leaving them somewhere extremely hot.

We have said it once, we are saying it again, here are some tips to help you have healthy eyes. 👀💛

Give your eyes a break from the screen by following the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something about 20 feet away for at least 20 seconds. Protect them outside with sunglasses that block 99–100% of UV rays, and if you wear contacts, take them out before bed unless your eye doctor has specifically prescribed them for overnight wear.

And most importantly, pay attention when your eyes are trying to tell you something. Blurry vision, frequent headaches, eye pain, flashes, new floaters, or irritation that won’t go away shouldn’t become your new normal.

Even if your vision seems perfectly fine, regular comprehensive eye exams are still an important part of keeping your eyes healthy. Eye exams aren’t just about whether you need glasses. They can also help detect eye conditions and other health concerns before you notice symptoms.

Healthy eyes deserve care too. 👁️✨

Redness, blurry vision, eye pain, headaches, flashes, floaters, dryness… the same symptom can have different causes, and figuring out what’s happening may require actually examining your eyes.

Searching your symptoms online or asking AI might give you an answer, but it can’t examine your eyes or know exactly what’s causing your symptoms.

Use AI to learn, prepare questions, or better understand eye health information. But when you’re experiencing symptoms, your next step should be talking to an eye care professional who can actually examine your eyes.

It can sound contradictory, but your tears are more complex than just water. When the oily layer of your tear film isn’t working properly, tears can evaporate faster and leave your eyes feeling dry, irritated, gritty, or even extra watery.

Watery eyes can have several causes, so if it keeps happening, an eye exam can help figure out what’s actually going on.
