QLI had an opportunity to be part of a population-focused project through UNMC's College of Nursing. Over a 5 week period, this stellar group of Accelerated BSN students spent time on our campus conducting a community assessment and developing a project for health promotion.

Nurses are at the heart of healthcare, and these students were no exception. With inquisitive minds and a caring and compassionate demeanor, we are excited for their futures and the impact they will make on the healthcare system!

We are proud of our CEO, Nash Mahupete, for living QLI's Mission and being a Hope Dealer in all areas of his life. We wish Nash and his fellow Abide Omaha Board members safety and success as they begin their journey to raise funds and bring hope and opportunity to the North Omaha community. We’ll be cheering them on every step of the way!

Five Omaha leaders will climb Mount Kilimanjaro Oct. 9-18 to raise $155,000 each for Abide's North Omaha Lighthouse homes.

The Omaha team from Hyatt was all heart and helpful hands during their volunteer days at QLI last week. Not even the rainy, soggy weather could keep their spirits from shining during days.

Georgia is legendary at QLI for her big heart and spunky personality. It's no surprise she managed to save the life of a friend in Mississippi, all with a phone call.

Georgia Curry is nonverbal. But that didn't stop her from making sure a woman states away got the medication she needs to take every day. The recent partnership between QLI’s East Campus Life Path Services team and the dynamos from Circle Theatre prove how collaboration and compassion can fuel creativity.

The silver screens at QLI reflected the results of months of the shared labor of love that produced two inclusive feature films-“Mirror, Mirror” and “Dimensions: A Space Odyssey.”

Earlier this month, a group of curious and engaged members from Avenue Scholars visited QLI for Career Awareness Day. The day provided the 14 area high school students with a hands-on introduction into the healthcare world and offered a pathway into QLI’s I.M.P.A.C.T. program.

Isabela Flores, a graduate of Avenue Scholars and I.M.P.A.C.T. and QLI Rehabilitation Trainer and Tyler Von Rentzell, QLI’s Coordinator of Adaptive Fitness shared their journeys and roles at QLI.

Our support network is nothing short of amazing. YOU helped raise over $429,000 for QLI's mission by sponsoring, donating, and attending QLI's An Evening at the Fair.

The cakes and prizes have been claimed, the smashed watermelons are gone, Jimmy Weber and Ray Scott have packed up their instruments, and Nelson is back on his farm. But the memories of our 10th Evening at the Fair remain alive.

Special shout out to our Honorary Chairs, Sue & Steve Seline, and our Event Chairs, Addy Combs, Laura Combs, and Christine Carley, for making the night unforgettable. The team at Baxter Arena is second to none when it comes to events and customer service.

With hundreds more to thank, we are already dreaming about the next Fair!
