Since 2023, Nebraska has seen an uptick in bills on transgender issues. More were introduced in the Legislature this year, and a decision on transgender sports participation could soon be in front of voters.

This year has been a difficult one for many in the LGBTQ+ community. Between growing uncertainties, rights being attacked, concerns about safety and access to care being taken away, Pride may feel a little different this year, but even in these challenging times we will continue to rally together!

To our LGBTQ+ community: we see you, we support you, and we're grateful you're here. YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

And to our allies: thank you for showing up, speaking up, and helping make our community a place where everyone can belong.

Let's keep building a world where people can live openly, authentically, and without fear... not just this month but every day 🏳️‍🌈

Today, on the International Day Against LGBTQIA+ Discrimination, we honor and remember Juniper Blessing. 🌈
Her tragic passing is a heartbreaking reminder that hate, discrimination, and violence against LGBTQIA+ people must end. No one should lose their life simply for existing as their authentic self.
