Meet Dr. Meghan Oakes!
A born-and-raised Omaha native, Dr. Oakes has always loved science, the human body, and helping people. Reproductive medicine lets her do all three at once.
Ask her what drew her to fertility care, and she'll tell you it comes down to one thing: empowering patients to build the families they envision. Every patient and couple walks in with a unique set of circumstances, and she meets each one where they are, helping them reach their goals, whatever those may be. She considers it one of her greatest achievements that so many of her patients are still in her life long after completing their families.
A few things that make her *her*:
📚 A self-described "old lady" at heart, she loves reading, needlepoint, reading and spending time with her family.
🏈 Passionate about Nebraska football, with a soft spot for Tar Heels basketball from her North Carolina college days.
🍽️ A serious food lover, she is willing to travel for great food — exploring new restaurants is a favorite pastime, as is enjoying lovely meals at home made by her husband, who is an amazing chef in his free time.
🏖️ Loves the North Carolina shore where she and her husband spend summers with their two sons.
