Comeback Athlete spotlight: Adalyn Minahan

After tearing her hip labrum and learning no further injury could occur, Adalyn opted to play through the pain for two sports seasons — soccer and softball — at Treynor Csd.

While competing through the pain, she continued to do all workouts that would not irritate her hip as well as her prescribed physical therapy. And after her surgery, she wasted no time rehabbing her hip.

Her perseverance and determination paid off! She was able to return to both the softball and soccer fields, and even helped her team reach the state softball quarterfinals!

From the board to the rehab floor, high-level performance takes precision, strength and the right team in your corner!

We loved working with University of Cincinnati diver, Paul Mathews, as he tackled muscle imbalances and got back to competing at his peak performance. Here is what he had to say about his experience with OrthoNebraska:

"OrthoNebraska was incredible to me and accommodating my needs for treating my muscle imbalances and the discomfort caused by them. Jayden Burnett was my assigned PT, and every day I came in she met me halfway to get me back to where I need to be. Dr. Samuel Davidson has officially started seeing patients at OrthoNebraska!

Dr. Davidson is an Omaha native and is excited to care for patients in the community he calls home. As a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon, he specializes in hip and knee joint replacement, including total and partial replacements and revision surgeries. He takes an individualized approach to care and utilizes modern, minimally invasive techniques to help each patient reach their goals.

Volleyball season brings plenty of practices, games and tournaments, but all that time on the court can add up for young athletes.
