💙 Welcome, Regis Pathway OTD Class of 2029!

Over the coming weeks, we will welcome our newest cohort to Creighton University for orientation—a chance to connect with classmates, meet faculty and staff, and begin building the community that will support them throughout their journey to becoming occupational therapists.

We’re so excited to watch this class learn, grow, lead, and make a difference in the lives of the people they’ll serve.

🎓✨ Celebrating the 2026 Creighton University Occupational Therapy Fellowship Platform Presentations!Yesterday, our fellowship scholars shared innovative projects that highlight the impact of occupational therapy across the lifespan, advancing evidence-based practice, caregiver support, and neonatal care.

What an amazing day inspiring the next generation of healthcare professionals! 💙✨

Last week, our Regis OT1 students had the opportunity to lead and support the Health Professions Summer Experience, where rising high school and college students explored a variety of healthcare careers through hands-on learning and interactive activities.

Our students were proud to share the impact of occupational therapy, helping participants discover how OT empowers people to engage in the activities that matter most in their daily lives. 🖐️💙

A special shoutout to Regis OT1 students Alyssa, Aspyn, and Kate G. for their incredible leadership in organizing the event, coordinating logistics, and creating an engaging experience for everyone involved. Your hard work and dedication made the day a success!

We also want to thank Dean Osterlund and Dr. Holm for hosting this fantastic event and for their continued support of our students and program.

Arizona is facing one of the largest healthcare worker shortages in the country, and programs like the Summer Health Institute are helping build the next generation of providers who will change that.

Through our funded partnership with Arizona State University, over 100 high school students from across Arizona and beyond spent a week exploring real careers in medicine and the health sciences. OT and PT teamed up to lead a hands‑on session on falls prevention and safe mobility, giving students a true look at what rehabilitation providers do.

Students practiced gait belt techniques, explored ultrasound imaging, acute mobilization, mobility assessment, and home safety/balance, and ended the day with honest conversations about choosing a major, applying to college, finding volunteer hours, and discovering their place in healthcare.

This is how we strengthen the workforce: one experience, one connection, one future clinician at a time 💙

This past semester, our second-year OTD students met with Congressman Tim Kennedy, the first occupational therapist to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives, to discuss advocacy, healthcare policy, and the role occupational therapists can play in shaping meaningful change.

At Creighton, we believe occupational therapists are leaders, advocates, and changemakers—in every setting.
