Senator Ted Budd has announced plans to offer an amendment that would remove the temporary h**p extension included in the Continuing Resolution (CR).

This extension is critical. It gives Congress the time needed to develop a thoughtful, long-term h**p policy rather than allowing a sweeping ban to take effect before lawmakers have finished their work.

The h**p industry supports strong safeguards to keep intoxicating products away from children, including age restrictions, responsible labeling, child-resistant packaging, and enforcement against bad actors.
Removing the extension will not solve these challenges- it will prevent Congress from finishing the job.

Today or tomorrow, the Senate might vote on an amendment offered by Senator Ted Budd that would remove the h**p extension from the Continuing Resolution to keep government open.
