The world lost a little sparkle this week. ✨💗 As we remember the incomparable Dolly Parton, we’re reminded of the joy, kindness, humor and wisdom she shared throughout her remarkable life.

And, as dermatology professionals, there’s one little piece of Dolly wisdom we can’t help but remember. In a 2022 interview, she shared one of the secrets behind her beautiful skin:

“I never got out in the sun. I don’t have a lot of the same problems that women my age do ‘cause I never baked myself in the sun.”

Turns out, Dolly knew a thing or two about protecting her skin. ☀️💕 Today, we celebrate a true icon and share her belief with our family, friends and followers: protect your skin, wear your SPF and never be afraid of a little extra sparkle.
