It feels like we’ve had a lot of rain lately. Gray skies, heavy downpours and days when the sunshine seems a little harder to find.

In many ways, rain can be a beautiful symbol for mental health and healing.

🌧️ Some seasons of life feel heavier than others.
🌱 Growth can be happening even when we can’t see it yet.
☀️ Difficult days don’t mean brighter ones aren’t ahead.
💧 Just as the earth needs rain to grow, challenging moments can sometimes help us discover our strength, resilience, and need for support.

And remember, you don’t have to weather every storm alone.

At Compassionate Minds Therapy, we believe healing isn’t about avoiding the rain. It’s about finding support as you move through it and recognizing the growth that can come afterward.

Here’s hoping for a little sunshine soon.

✨THERAPIST SPOTLIGHT: MEET KODJOVI! ✨

This Monday, we’re shining the spotlight on one of the newest members of the Compassionate Minds Therapy team , Kodjovi!

One of Kodjovi’s greatest strengths is his ability to connect with kids. He brings a patient, supportive, and approachable presence that helps children feel comfortable opening up and being themselves.

For kids, finding a therapist they genuinely connect with can be such an important part of therapy. Kodjovi works to create a space where children feel heard, understood, encouraged and supported as they learn to navigate emotions and challenges.

We’re excited to have Kodjovi on our team and even more excited for our families to get to know him!

Gaslighting is one of those terms we hear everywhere these days, but it's often misunderstood or overused.

True gaslighting is more than simply disagreeing with someone or having a different perspective. It's a pattern of manipulation that causes someone to question their own memories, perceptions, or reality.

We thought this was a great explanation from Mel Robbins because it provides clear, relatable examples of what gaslighting really looks like. Understanding the difference can help us recognize unhealthy relationship patterns and have more productive conversations about emotional well-being.

Knowledge is empowering. The more we understand these behaviors, the better equipped we are to set healthy boundaries, support others, and seek help when needed.

What are your thoughts? Have you noticed the term "gaslighting" being used more often lately?

This can also be shortened for better Facebook engagement or made more clinical if you'd like it to better match Compassionate Minds Therapy's brand voice.

You know we love Mel Robbins around here!

If you’ve ever found yourself getting triggered by someone else’s words or actions, this podcast episode is definitely worth a listen. Mel and her guest share practical strategies for pausing before reacting, managing your emotions and responding in a way that protects your peace instead of escalating the situation.

Learning how to respond rather than react is a skill that can strengthen relationships, reduce stress, and help you feel more in control.

🎧 Take a listen and let us know what resonates with you most!

It’s a great reminder that while we can’t control other people’s behavior, we can choose how we respond.
