Welcome Lisa Pham to the team!

Lisa is a dedicated member of our team who is passionate about creating a warm, welcoming experience for every patient. With a background as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and experience in customer service, she brings compassion, strong communication skills, and a calm, patient-focused approach to every interaction.

Outside of work, Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, learning new skills, and continuing to grow both personally and professionally. She is committed to helping every patient feel comfortable, cared for, and confident throughout their visit to Family Eyecare by Dr. Michelle!

Meet my crew! ❤️

As an Optometrist, I spend my days helping people see their very best.

As a mom of three... I spend my evenings playing tag, building blanket forts, cleaning up snacks, and trying to soak in every little moment before summer slips away.

One thing I've learned, both in the exam room and at home, is that life moves fast. The little moments become the big memories and that's why I never take healthy vision for granted.

Whether it's your child's first day of kindergarten, a family vacation, Friday night baseball, or watching another sunset... your eyes are there for every memory.

Here's to making this summer one you'll always remember—and making sure you can see every second of it.

Today, we're wishing a big congratulations to Hayley and Eric as they celebrate sweet Lily turning 3 months old! 🌸

We have loved watching Hayley embrace motherhood during her maternity leave, and we couldn't be happier for their beautiful little family. Lily is already growing so fast, and she is absolutely precious!

We're excited to welcome Dr. Brian Sturgill—Dr. Michelle's optometry school classmate and longtime friend—to Family Eyecare by Dr. Michelle from July 27–31!

While Dr. Michelle is away enjoying a special month making memories with her family, Dr. Sturgill is here providing exceptional care for our patients. With more than 10 years of clinical experience, Dr. Sturgill is a former U.S. Air Force optometrist who is passionate about comprehensive eye care and helping patients achieve their best vision.

Originally from the Cincinnati area, Dr. Sturgill now lives in San Diego with his wife and two children. Outside the office, he enjoys spending time with his family, surfing, exploring the outdoors, and playing basketball. His commitment to serving others has also taken him on humanitarian eye care missions around the world.

Some of you may have already had the opportunity to meet Dr. Walz during one of her visits seeing patients here at Family Eyecare by Dr. Michelle, and we wanted to officially introduce you!

Dr. Allison Walz is a Nebraska native with a passion for providing thoughtful, personalized eye care to patients of all ages. She grew up in North Platte, earned her Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences from the University of Wyoming, and graduated from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2009.

After practicing in the Chicago suburbs for 8 years, Dr. Walz returned home to Nebraska and continues to bring her passion for building relationships and treating patients like family. She especially enjoys working with pediatric patients and seeing the excitement on a child’s face when they experience clear vision with their first pair of glasses. 🤓✨

With a love for fashion and eyewear, Dr. Walz enjoys helping patients find frames that fit their personality, lifestyle, and unique vision needs.

Outside of the exam room, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, Kennedy, traveling, golfing, working out, and exploring great food and wine.
