Youth experiencing foster care range from birth to 18. There’s a particular need for families willing to care for youth ages 11 and older, as well as sibling groups of two or more children.

Connection is at the heart of prevention. National Substance Abuse Prevention Month reminds us that early support and strong family relationships can help build resilient communities.

Through our Clinical and Prevention Services, families can access expert-led evaluations and trauma-informed support to address challenges early and build a foundation for lasting stability.

Kaitlyn, a Licensing Specialist and Foster Care Specialist, celebrates five years with KVC!

She continues to choose KVC because she loves her coworkers and the families we serve. She also appreciates the flexibility and the time she’s been able to spend with her son. And she couldn’t leave out her supervisor, Jess, who keeps her on track and is a great friend. 💙

Looking ahead, Kaitlyn is excited to see KVC’s programs evolve and to help recruit more foster homes. Her favorite workdays are the ones when her whole team is together, laughing while they work. As for where she’d spend the rest of her life, she’d choose a place with Halloween or Christmas vibes! 🎃🎄

Jason, a Licensing Specialist, is celebrating 15 years with KVC Nebraska.

His coworker Lisa shared:
“Jason is an amazing coworker, and it’s hard to believe we’ve worked together for 15 years! We both started out in the trenches of visitation, and we definitely lived to tell the stories. Together, we made the jump to foster care, where the stories and memories only continued to grow. It’s incredible to look back on 15 years of fun, hard work and crazy times. Happy work anniversary, Jason. Here’s to the next 15 years!”

The 2026 Omaha Corporate Games are underway, and our team is showing up with plenty of energy, teamwork and KVC pride!

Our co****le team kicked things off with an exciting performance. Theresa and Michaela came close to the podium, missing a medal by just one bag. Then our bowling team rolled to a terrific fifth-place finish!

And our Sand Volleyball team brought home the silver medal for KVC Nebraska! 🥈

Congratulations to everyone who competed and cheered on the team. We’re proud of you! 💙
