Proton beam system arrives in Nebraska. A major milestone reached with the delivery of Nebraska's first proton beam therapy system to the University of Nebraska Medical Center.

As the first technology of its kind in Nebraska, proton therapy will provide patients with access to highly precise cancer treatment that minimizes radiation exposure to healthy tissue.

Once operational, the system will expand access to advanced cancer care for patients across Nebraska and neighboring states reducing the need to travel long distances for treatment.
