The New Cassel Foundation, believes every resident deserves opportunities to create meaningful memories and experience moments of joy.
Yesterday, our very own New Cassel resident Clayton, a proud Veteran of the Korean War and former Quartermaster, had the incredible opportunity to participate in Dream Flights, a nonprofit organization dedicated to veterans through the gift of flight. Clayton took to the skies in a vintage aircraft from 1946, enjoying breathtaking views and a truly unforgettable experience with the support of his two wonderful daughters and New Cassel family.
As someone who faithfully served our nation, this special flight was a meaningful tribute to a life marked by dedication, service, and sacrifice. Seeing the excitement on Clayton’s face as he landed and hearing about his experience afterward was a beautiful reminder that adventure, joy, and new memories can be found at every stage of life.
We are deeply grateful to Dream Flights, the Nebraska Health Care Assosciation, Duncan Aviation, and all of the amazing volunteers who make these extraordinary experiences possible for veterans across the country. Thank you for honoring Clayton, his family, and helping create a day of joy he will never forget.

It was a meaningful day filled with gratitude, rememberance, and community as we came together to honor veteran residents of New Cassel Retirement Center, their spouses, and veteran participants of the Francisican Adult Day Center.
Listening to the stories, recognizing their service, sacrifice, and bravery, is a reminder of how much we owe to those who protected the freedoms we enjoy every day.

May 6th, at New Cassel Retirement Center was a beautiful reminder of the strength, sacrifice, and selflessness of the residents of New Cassel and participants of the Franciscan Adult Day Center who have served our country.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for our annual Honoring Our Veterans event. It was a fantastic celebration and we are incredibly grateful for the opportunity to recognize veterans and spouses of veterans within our very own community.
Their service, bravery, and dedication to protecting our freedoms deserve more appreciation than words can express. From the stories shared, the moments of reflection, and the connections made, it was trualy a meaningful day for everyone involved and we are incredibly blessed.
We would also like to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who who volunteered, donated, attended, sponsored, and helped make this event so special.
May we never forget the cost of freedom and the heros who made it possible❤️🤍💙
