There truly are not enough words to express our gratitude to County Villas Assisted Living in Omro and the incredible care they provided to our mom, Paula.
From the moment Mom arrived, the staff worked tirelessly to understand her needs, comfort her, advocate for her, and make her feel safe. Caring for someone with Lewy Body Dementia can be incredibly challenging, particularly when that person is experiencing significant anxiety, confusion, and distress. Through it all, they never gave up on her.
Led by their Director of Nursing, Kelly, and her wonderfully talented and compassionate staff, Mom was treated with patience, kindness, dignity, and genuine affection. They didn’t simply care for her—they cared about her. They advocated for what she needed and worked alongside our family every step of the way.
During Mom’s time at County Villas, we never had to worry about whether she was safe or being properly cared for. As a family, that peace of mind was priceless.
The facility itself is clean, warm, welcoming, and has a wonderful home-like atmosphere. But what truly makes County Villas special is the people inside it. You can teach someone the skills necessary to provide care, but you cannot teach the compassion we witnessed from this staff.
Our family will forever be grateful to Kelly and the entire County Villas team for the love, patience, advocacy, and exceptional care they gave Mom during such a vulnerable time in her life.
When things became difficult, they didn’t give up on Mom. They leaned in.
For that, they will always hold a very special place in our hearts.
