• PRO TIP: Want to add a challenge? Try the movement on a balance pad or BOSU ball! 🙌🏼
• Need a balance pad? Stop in and pick one up!
🕺🏻 Multi-directional steps:
• Step forward then (back to center)
• Step to 3 o’clock position (back to center)
• Step back in a lunge (back to center)
• Step to 9 o’clock position “curtsey step” (back to center)
• Repeat 5-10 times on each leg
🥊 Seated reaches/crossbody punches
• Standing, seated on a chair or yoga ball
• Activate your core in an upright standing or seated position
• Reach forward, out to the side and at various angles challenging your balance and available range of motion.
• 12 o’clock, 9 and 3 o’clock
These movements may seem simple, but they are important, and foundations of our balance system.
🧑🏽🩰 Practicing single leg exercises activates and coordinates your ankles, knees, and hips together. Those muscles groups are needed in every stride and absorb load.
💪 Seated reaches engage deep core muscles that assist us in performing daily actions without injury.
