A Mammogram Is Important. So Is Knowing Your Normal.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, a reminder that breast health involves more than routine screening.

Mammograms are an important tool for detecting breast cancer early, but becoming familiar with how your breasts normally look and feel can also help you recognize when something changes.

A new lump, changes in breast shape or skin, or other unusual symptoms should be evaluated by a healthcare provider, even if you've recently had a normal mammogram.

Mille Lacs Health System offers 3D mammography at our Onamia campus.

πŸ’‰ As respiratory virus season approaches, now is a good time to make sure you and your family are up to date on recommended vaccinations.

Staying up to date can help reduce the risk of serious illness from flu, COVID-19 and RSV, particularly for those at increased risk of complications.
