Thanks to everyone who participated in our Community Baby Shower last night at Atlantic Community Health Center! Twenty-three moms and expectant mothers were at this event along with roughly 30 people representing Rural Health and Accomack County Sheriff's Office, Eastern Shore Literacy Council, Go & Grow Eastern Shore, Eastern Shore Health District, and the Accomack County Public School's Book Mobile.

Eastern Shore Rural Health System, Inc. has received a donation of a house on Chincoteague Island from local philanthropist David Landsberger. The home will be used to provide housing for Rural Health clinical staff serving northern Accomack County.

Eastern Shore Rural Health Chief Operations and Clinical Officer Jennifer Tyler, Melody Stevens, Family Nurse Practitioner Jennifer Wiederhold, David Landsberger and Rural Health Chief Executive Officer Jeannette Edwards in front of the house donated to Rural Health. Wiederhold, who joined Rural Health’s Chincoteague office in August, is the first provider to live in the house.
