Monica Shirley Loboda, 91, of Norton Rd., Vernon Center, passed away on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, at her home.

Shirley’s funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 12:30 PM at her home parish, Holy Family Church, Peterboro St., Vernon. Rev. Christopher J. Ballard will officiate. Interment will take place on Monday at St. Helena’s Cemetery. Family and friends are invited and may call on Friday prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 PM at the Ironside Family Funeral Homes, Inc., 464 Sherrill Rd., Sherrill. Danielle is helping out in the office this afternoon. I asked her to put a stamp on an envelope. She said, "what's a stamp?" So I showed her what a postage stamp is... her reply that's a sticker not a stamp!!!

Oh to see the world in through the eyes of a 10 year old! 🤣🫣🇺🇲

**Update** She has now written a letter to the US Bureau of Printing and Engraving requesting a name change. I'll keep you updated if the Government decides to respond to her 🤣🤞
