Several STC members and staff took part in the Arc Otsego’s Hot Cocoa 5K Run and 1K Walk, Run & Roll this past weekend.

Proceeds help benefit The Arc Otsego's Helping Hands Fund, which assists individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.

Did you know that it is Care Manager Appreciation week? To celebrate, STC employees gathered at East Main Lanes and Lounge in Sidney and were treated to a taco truck, a prize raffle, and a round of bowling!

An afternoon of eating tacos and rolling strikes is a small way to thank STC staff for performing the thankless work of care coordination.

Thank you, to all STC employees, for everything you contribute all year round! 🎊🎉

Today, CCM Emilie attended Connor's 21st birthday celebration! He enjoyed some cupcakes and snacks with classmates, teachers, and his father.

Connor enjoys being a student at the Springbrook School, and has about a year left until he begins with Springbrook's day program.

Providing support from the office, and the sidelines! ⚽

Care Managers Emilie Perez and Joanna Jackson attended a recent soccer tournament to support the Springbrook Scorpions, and STC Members Isaiah ( #18) and Dawson ( #1).

The Scorpions took gold, winning the championship game against Onondaga Soccer Team 9-0.

Way to go, Scorpions!

CCM Supervisor Stephanie had a great first meeting with Sara at JM Murray on Friday!

Sara is super friendly and outgoing. She takes great pride in being independent and does a wonderful job advocating for herself with the support of her parents.

Sara loves coloring, listening to music, watching NASCAR and football, and eating seafood.

This week, CCM Emilie visited Allison at her home. Allison loves to apply temporary tattoos, she looks forward to it daily.

During her visit, she picked tattoos for Emilie and for herself, and put them on with support from her staff. You can always find Allison rocking her tattoos!

Did you know that September is Su***de Awareness Month? Last week, staff around Southern Tier Connect offices chalked the walk for su***de prevention! Check out all of their inspiring messages and images.

Chalk the Walk is an initiative created by the Broome County Su***de Awareness For Everyone (BC SAFE) to beautify the community with messages and images of hope and resilience. The goal is to promote su***de prevention, mental wellness, and stigma reduction.

Robert loves participating in Special Olympics. He recently came in first place at a bocce ball tournament and was proud to show off his blue ribbon. He also wears the medals he won during track and field season on a daily basis.

Stephanie Bailey, Care Coordination Manager Supervisor, has been covering for Brian's regular CCM. Last week, the pair met for his annual life plan meeting. Brian and Stephanie used to be next door neighbors, making this reunion extra special.

Stephanie has enjoyed catching up with Brian and his mom over that past several months, she particularly missed his smile and laugh.

Brian loves one-on-one attention, people watching from his front porch, and watching his favorite programs: Barney and Grease.

Russell and Care Coordination Management Supervisor Stephanie Bailey have been working together for the last 13 years (8 years as his CCM at Southern Tier Connect, and 5 years as his Medicaid Service Coordinator at Delaware Opportunities).

Russell loves coffee, dancing, cruises, trains, tractors and staying busy out and about in the community.
