Want a quick list to check out which dogs have been at the shelter the longest? Or maybe those that like dogs and/or cats? Here is a quick reference list! And this is just a PARTIAL list. We have several dogs not on here and some that haven't been cat or dog tested yet, but can be with an approved application. So use this as a starting point and come check out our amazing pups!

Tomorrow evening (Thursday) we have a special after-hours event from 4:30pm-7pm for those looking to adopt but can't make it during normal business hours! We hope to see you there!

Looking for a rescue or a loving home for this 10 year old shepherd mix. 📢

Meet this gorgeous older lady with the best smile, Vitamin.

Vitamin is all the things you would expect out of an older dog - sweet, loving, gentle, good on a leash, and calm. She is confused as to why she’s at the shelter and might warm up a bit slowly, but then seems to quickly let you into her heart.

We just can’t stand seeing an old sweet dog like this stuck in a kennel when she should be on someone’s sofa!

Adopt Kimchi 💛🌻

Kimchi joined us for Dog Yoga at Walker Flower Farm, and she absolutely stole the show! She had the biggest smile among the flowers, made sure to stop by every mat to say hello, and shared so much love with her big heart (and her adorable big head 🥹).

She soaked up every belly rub, every cuddle, and every bit of attention she could get. Kimchi is as genuine and loving as they come, and she’s patiently waiting for the family she’ll get to call her own.

✨ Client Spotlight | Meet Leslie ✨

There are people who quietly make a community stronger simply by showing up with a smile, a kind heart, and an open mind. Leslie is one of those people.

“I started coming to Down Dog Studio about a year ago to try yoga and Pilates, seeking a different kind of fitness. Coming from a background in sports and endurance athletics, my body and mind were programmed for daily exercise, but I needed a shift. I was pleasantly surprised by how much better I felt after every class. My strength and balance are improving, and my daily stress is much more manageable. I always appreciate the positive, welcoming culture of the studio, and all the instructors are great!”

What we love most about Leslie is that she finds beauty in everyday moments. Whether she’s swimming, biking, cooking nourishing meals, admiring sunflowers, or spotting her favorite cardinal, Carl, during her morning prayer time, she reminds us to slow down and appreciate life’s simple gifts.

Above all else, Leslie’s greatest joy is her family. She treasures every moment with her husband—her best friend—her loved ones, and spending time with her granddaughter.
