This is what sparking joy looks like! 💚🩷

Our Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treat welcomed over 100 children and their families for an evening of costumes, smiles, and community connection!

For children with disabilities, including autism, opportunities to enjoy traditions in a welcoming, supportive environment matter. We loved creating a space where children could participate at their own pace, be themselves, and make memories with their families. Every child deserves to feel included and celebrated. 🎃

A heartfelt thank-you to our community partners, volunteers, staff, and families who donated candy, decorated trunks, and helped bring this evening to life. Special thanks to Megan Hefner, our Education and Program Manager, and our team for the care and planning they poured into this event!

🎃 Save the Date for SparkJoy ABA’s Sensory-Friendly Trunk or Treat! 🎃

We’re opening our doors for a welcoming, pressure-free Halloween celebration designed with kids ages 2–10 in mind (and siblings of all ages welcome!). Enjoy decorated trunks, photo ops, and goodies in an environment where every child can participate comfortably.

✨ Costumes are completely optional, and children never need to speak or complete an activity to get a treat.

Hands-on learning is always the best kind of learning! 🐍✨

Our Autism Scholarship Program kids at SparkJoy ABA are currently learning all about reptiles. Yesterday, our RBT Kaily made the lesson extra memorable by bringing in an amazing snake to visit!

We are so proud of Sophie, who completely overcame her fear of snakes and held our scaled guest! Check out her awesome moment, along with a close-up of one of our kiddos getting to touch it. The smiles and brave moments were off the charts! 💚

Happy first "Spark-iversary" to one of our incredible BCBAs! Lindsay, your commitment to clinical excellence, your patience, and the warmth you bring to every session are truly special. Not only is she fantastic with the kids and families we serve, but she is also an absolute rockstar with our staff—always there to support, guide, and uplift her team with so much positive energy.
