Fellow Mamas and Friends- this is a member of the Apple of My Eye Family- a mama that we had the pleasure of meeting and scanning her twin boys earlier this year. Her boys were born at just 24 weeks in April. Her friend has set up a GoFundMe to try to help- please read Angel's story and please give if you feel led. Angel, we continue to pray for you and your family. 💙💙

"I'm starting this fundraiser for Angel Reese and her family as they navigate an unimaginable season with premature twin boys, Xander and Mycah. In April, Angel welcomed her sons at just 24 weeks’ gestation, and both babies have faced an incredibly difficult start.

Mycah has recently come home from the NICU, which is a huge milestone, but he still needs oxygen and ongoing medical follow-up.

Xander’s journey has been even more complex. He has been diagnosed with severe bronchopulmonary dysplasia, ectopic atrial tachycardia, and a grade 2 brain bleed. He has already needed heart surgery to close his PDA, and he recently had a tracheostomy and G-tube placed. Xander remains hospitalized and is expected to stay there for an extended period of time as he continues receiving the care he needs.

Alongside all of this, Angel is also caring for her 13-year-old daughter, Julianna, and doing her best to be present for her through this overwhelming time.

Because of Xander’s ongoing medical needs and long hospital stay, Angel is unable to work right now. She is balancing time at the hospital, care for Mycah at home, and being there for Julianna, all while trying to hold her family together. This fundraiser will help ease the weight of ongoing medical and living expenses while Angel focuses on Xander’s care and the well-being of her children. It will also help the family prepare for the future by purchasing a vehicle that can safely accommodate Xander’s medical needs once he is finally able to come home. If you are able, please consider supporting Angel and her family with a donation. Donations can provide steady help with continuing household needs, transportation, medical follow-up, and the daily costs Angel is facing while she cannot work.
